Headteacher's welcome

Baslow St Anne’s is a thriving school where children are nurtured and inspired to learn in a rich and stimulating environment.

Our children’s academic progress underpins everything we do, but we are also keen to develop their enthusiasm for learning, which is something we believe is critical throughout their lives. We want our children to engage with the world around them and be inspired to explore and become independent learners, providing a solid foundation for learning, whatever they choose to do in the future.

We place particular emphasis on enrichment activities, often carried out as a whole school, and we have many opportunities for children to take part in activities in music and sport during and after school – from infant art club to recorder group to cross-country running.

Our values at Baslow St Anne’s means that we expect our children to behave in a manner that is respectful and inclusive of others, and to be polite, considerate and courteous at all times. Any visitor to our school will notice these traits in our children.

It is a whole team effort at Baslow St Anne’s – including an open relationship with parents and carers – and it means that our children leave the school in year 6 as confident and happy individuals, who are well prepared for the next stage of their development.

Baslow St Anne’s is a friendly and welcoming school where every child matters, and I feel privileged to lead such an outstanding school.
